Team:

Germany, The UK, Italy.

Description:

In this era of fast press/media, where we cycle through thousands of new information daily about a variety of topics, spread through different platforms of social media, our concern is reliability. AD SOME SPACE

Capture:

This proposal aims to tackle the misrepresentation of marginalised groups in the advertisement.

Team:

The UK, Italy, Germany.

Description:

Corporate politics have a larger impact on our lives than we realise, especially in terms of properly representing marginalised groups1. Currently in the advertisement, pre-existing stereotypes are heavily reinforced and reproduced. Our goal is to promote a more diversified, equal and representative future by tackling corporate culture. Therefore, we propose a directive to create an inclusive landscape in advertisement. Through our suggested directive, we are confident we can improve the internal environment of corporate culture by giving marginalised groups more space to represent themselves.

THE INTERNET MAP

Capture:

With the help of the EU, we want to introduce a programme which will deliver quality media education to young people in schools.

Team:

Germany, Italy.

Description:

Due to a lack of media education young people become lost in the wide world of the internet. Lack of knowledge and misunderstanding make them vulnerable to data theft, cyber-bullying, hate speech and even mental health issues. Funded by the EU, we want to create a programme where teachers can be trained in an international context to teach media education in their schools through non-formal education methodologies. Every year a media topic will be shared, and schools can customize their own project around this issue and share their development with the network of other media schools.

MAKE THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE

Capture:

We want the European Union to organize and fund European wide interactive workshops to promote awareness and activism in the field of data protection.

Team:

The UK, Germany.

Description:

With the age of digitalization, we have been bombarded with issues of data misuse. Trump, Brexit and Cambridge Analytica are only some examples of how we were manipulated and controlled without being aware of it. With the recent European General Data Protection Rights, this manipulation can come to an end, but only if we educate ourselves on these rules! We want to educate the youth on the potential harms of data misuse and the rules protecting them, in an innovative and interactive format. We will bring together youths, tech experts, whistleblowers and journalists in an attempt to bring awareness to these regulations. Help us bring light to this crucial issue and make the invisible visible.

ELECTRIC CARS – HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

Capture:

We want to make Electric cars more accessible to a wider range of people, through the reduction of prices and running costs.

Team:

The UK, Italy.

Description:

We know that people need cars and public transport to be able to meet the needs of their day to day lives. However, there is an alarming rate of CO2 in the atmosphere which is forcing us to find an eco-friendlier solution. Electric cars are a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative. These types of cars produce 50% fewer carbon emissions than an average car. We want the European Union to reduce the prices for purchasing and the upkeep of electric cars. We believe that the transition should be equally available for all people.

A fair transition is a transition for all!

PERMACULTURE FOR A PERMANENT CHANGE

Capture:

We want the EU to promote a shift towards permaculture in order to achieve sustainable agriculture and an environmentally conscious lifestyle within the EU.

Team:

Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy

Description:

Imagine a society where people support each other, live harmoniously with nature and have a sustainable lifestyle. Permaculture is: CARE FOR THE EARTH, CARE FOR THE PEOPLE, AND FAIR SHARES. This method avoids monocropping by cultivating biodiversity, doesn’t use chemical pesticides and fertilizers in order to produce nutritious food and reduce health risks. In the EU, there is a lack of knowledge on this topic. Therefore, we propose to create a Permaculture Fund that could serve as the basis for educating people, researching techniques, subsidising products and starting new communities.

We want to improve access to clear information and practical tools within poorer urban communities across Europe to bring about large-scale environmental change.

Team:

UK, Italy, Spain

Description:

To bring about large-scale environmental change the EU must improve access to clear information and practical tools within poor urban communities; which in this context is a combination of local municipalities, associations and local people. These urban communities are at the face the highest level of risk when it comes to air pollution, physical and mental health. For too long they have not been given the opportunity to actively take part in the change towards a more sustainable way of living. By working from the grassroots of society and building up we can make the greatest change
